Michael Barringer is a producer, director, and editor. He currently holds the position of Video Producer at Sphere Entertainment.
He has worked for agencies MRY, Decoded Advertising, Red Antler, and others—editing and shooting content for clients including Visa, Hulu, Pop Tarts, Gorillas, Five Guys, Audible, Stub Hub, and more.
In addition to directing and producing commercials and promotional content for Sphere, he recently worked with artist and MacArthur Fellow Jeffrey Gibson as cinematographer and editor on a ten-channel video installation, "This Burning World," the inaugural exhibit at the Institute of Contemporary Art in San Francisco. Other recent works include Sylvan Esso's "Rewind" music video (DP), featured on The Late Show with Steven Colbert; and short films "I Approve this Message," (writer/producer/editor), the award-winning "Help Me Mary" (editor), and "Cathy" (director).
He is the narrative features programmer at Brooklyn Film Festival and holds an MFA in directing from the Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema.
